Canceling FYE VIP Pass?

I bought the membership 3 days ago. I realized that I would be charged monthly, waited the 2-3 business days, and just attempted to cancel. The woman I spoke to was quite hard to understand. She mentioned something about a $40 reimbursement and my account needing to stay activated to use it? Is it necessary that I wait for this (considering I don't shop at any of the retailers this pass supports) or should I call and push for cancellation? I'm still on the 30 day trial. I'm on a college student budget and do not have the funds to be charged monthly. I want to get out now before it is too late.
